Biography

In intertwining my passions with career opportunities, it has made for quite the journey of experiences. I do well in the Two Truths and Lie game because having a cosmetology license, being an aggressive skater, and a published photographer for skate magazines aren’t expected answers.

I pursued marketing and merchandising with the love of working with people, utilizing creative strategies, and learning how to multi-task the various aspects of the job at hand. Enthusiasm doesn’t cover it. My skill set has grown exponentially through jobs I've had, but I also began to expand my range and wanted to create something bigger and more meaningful out of my lifelong love of skating.

The aggressive skate community is small, but mighty; a group of ugly ducklings who decided that an unpopular sport, was the one they wanted to pursue. I created Transit, a skate company, with the deepest part of my soul wanting to celebrate marrying mental health and skating, in all forms.  I wanted to build a brand based on promoting mental health, building community, and having camaraderie in our niche market. It was everyone's authenticity that inspired me to capture moments through a lens.

The trajectory hasn’t been linear, yet it has brought me joy to look back though and see all that I have accomplished, the relationships I have fostered, and how whole I feel shooting action, candids, portraits, etc. Real people with people they love, doing what they love.

I  am always thrilled to find the best angle, lighting, and moment in every shot. Let's connect and get something scheduled!
